Psychiatric Services.

Psychiatric Evaluation.

During your first visit, we will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your overall well-mental and physical health. We will review your past psychiatric history, any prior experiences with therapy or medication, and examine your current symptoms and concerns. This initial meeting is designed to help us gain a clear understanding of your unique needs so that we can determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward, and also importantly, to see if we are good fit for one another. By the end of our appointment, we will develop a treatment plan. This plan may include a detailed discussion of potential medication options, recommendations for therapy, or a combination of both, depending on what we identify as most beneficial. Additionally, we will assess whether my expertise aligns with your treatment needs or if a referral to a more specialized provider may be warranted.

Medication Management.

Medication appointments offer ongoing evaluation of how well your current medication is working and provide an opportunity to discuss any necessary adjustments or refills. These sessions also include time for supportive therapy and psychoeducation, creating a space where you can ask questions, express concerns, and learn more about your mental health. My goal is to ensure you feel empowered and informed throughout your treatment journey. Once we’ve established a stable medication regimen, these appointments typically occur on a monthly basis. However, during our initial work together, or at times when we are starting or adjusting medications, the appointments may be scheduled more frequently, such as weekly, to closely monitor your progress.

Psychotherapy.

This is a space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings with a curious, non-judgmental listener. It’s a time where you can freely discuss what’s on your mind, whether it’s day-to-day concerns or deeper emotional experiences. Our sessions can range from weekly to three times per week. The more frequently we meet, the more opportunities we’ll have to explore your inner world, helping you better understand how your mind works, identify patterns, and address thoughts or behaviors that may no longer be serving you. We will talk about the frequency that suits you best based on your goals and comfort level, ensuring that the process feels natural and supportive. As a psychiatrist, I’ll also be paying attention to how any medications you're taking are affecting you, though this may not always be a central topic of discussion. This space is ultimately yours to use however feels best.

ADHD Evaluations.

We offer comprehensive evaluations for adults who believe they may have ADHD. The evaluation process is designed to provide clarity—whether you’ve struggled with attention your whole life or are only now beginning to wonder if ADHD could be part of your experience.

Our ADHD assessments are comprehensive and complete; they place over three 45 minute appointments. Your first appointment will be a comprehensive psychiatric interview (45 minutes). Your second appointment will consist of extensive subjective and objective testing, including Qbtech: an FDA-approved diagnostic tool that offers computerized data of your attention, impulsivity, and motor activity (45 minutes). Your third appointment will be with a psychiatrist to discuss your evaluation, which includes a detailed report summarizing your results and our clinical impressions (45 minutes). If appropriate, we can also discuss treatment options and next steps, which may include medication, therapy, or other supports.

“I underestimated how helpful it would be to have all of my mental health care in one place, by one person. It truly makes a world of difference to have my medication and therapy done by the same person.”
